NYPD releases video of James Blake's mistaken arrest

The NYPD has released video of the incident in which former tennis star James Blake was forcibly thrown to the ground and handcuffed in front of a New York hotel on Wednesday.
Blake suffered minor injuries during the arrest, which occurred as he was waiting to catch a ride to the U.S. Open. In total, five officers were involved in the incident, which they claim was due to a case on misidentification.

Officer James Frascatore, seen tackling Blake in the video, has been placed on administrative duties and his gun and badge have been removed.

Blake also issued a statement about his arrest on Friday.

During his playing career, Blake was among the best active American tennis players, rising as high as No. 4 in the ATP rankings.
