Roger Federer will play mixed doubles with Martina Hingis at Rio Olympics
Roger Federer will be partnering with Martina Hingis of Switzerland in mixed doubles at the 2016 Rio Olympics, he announced on Twitter Friday.
The pair has not played together in 15 years.
Federer, a 17-time Grand Slam champion, has already earned two Olympic medals. He took home the silver in singles in London in 2012, and won gold in doubles alongside Stan Wawrinka in Bejing in 2008.
Hingis has five Grand Slam titles of her own and is a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Federer told Sport360 that is excited to play with someone that he admired when he was younger, calling Hingis an “unbelievable talent.”
“She’s almost my age and she was winning Grand Slams while I was still at the national tennis centre, trying to make it on the tour and I couldn’t believe how good she was,” Federer said. “I’m very excited about that.”
