Sabrina Ionescu won't need surgery while recovering from ankle injury

New York Liberty star rookie Sabrina Ionescu will not require surgery on the Grade 3 ankle sprain she suffered in New York's third game of the 2020 season. Ionescu left the WNBA bubble three weeks ago to see a specialist in New York. The Liberty announced Saturday via twitter that she “has received a positive prognosis for a full recovery and is continuing to rehab.”
