AEW News: Two Huge Former WWE Champions Potentially on Tony Khan's Radar

Tony Khan is opening the door for two former WWE champions to debut in AEW.

AEW boss Tony Khan wouldn't mind talking business with two former WWE champions.

Khan hasn't been shy in signing former WWE stars who he feels can make a difference in his promotion. We've seen the likes of Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, and Mercedes Moné, who was Sasha Banks under the WWE banner, put pen to paper with AEW.

There are two more former WWE titleholders who Tony Khan can see being a part of the AEW roster if the stars align.

During an appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Khan was asked about Nikki Garcia revealing on the "Nikki & Brie Show" that she almost called him about a possible run in AEW. Khan responded by saying he'd welcome both Nikki and Brie Garcia with open arms.

"If Nikki Garcia ever wanted to come into AEW I would be very interested in that," Khan said. "I think the world of her, I have so much respect for Nicole and Brie. They're like family to us because Bryan is like a part of my family and that makes Brie and Nicole part of the family. So, I have so much respect for both of them and if Nikki was interested in coming to AEW we would love to have her here anytime. That was so great to hear. It means the world and I just like both of them so much. I think they're really, really cool and really, really great stars that would add a lot to AEW if they ever wanted to come."

The Garcia twins were known as The Bella Twins in WWE. Nikki was a two-time Divas Champion, while Brie held the gold one time. Both women are credited with bringing in a new fanbase to WWE thanks to "Total Divas" and "Total Bellas."

Time will tell if Nikki and Brie Garcia will eventually make their way to Tony Khan's promotion.
