Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was asked what he dislikes about his farewell tour and provided an honest answer for reporters after the team's 120–111 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
“That we suck,” Bryant said and laughed with reporters. “That's tough. All joking aside, just being able to say thank you to the fans. It's hard for me to express how much fans have meant to me. It really is. The best I can do is to go out and play even though physically I feel like crap.”
Bryant and the Lakers are 11–44 on the season and sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
After the Lakers' loss on Wednesday night, Bryant and James hugged on the court. Bryant was given a standing ovation by the Cavaliers fans in Quicken Loans Arena.
Bryant will play in his final NBA All-Star Game in Toronto on Sunday.
