Filipino boxing star Manny Pacquiao responded to the rash of celebrity criticism that he has received since making anti-gay comments during a television interview last week, saying that he is not concerned about the outpouring of disapproval.

“I'm not bothered, that's the world," Pacquiao said to local media per BoxingScene.com. "I mean, Jesus lives in me so I'm always happy. Says the Bible, everyday has enough troubles of its own, so don't be bothered about that."

Hall of Fame basketball player Magic Johnson recently joined the list of celebrities that have taken offense to Pacquiao’s statement that gay people are “worse than animals.”
