After his son R.J. hit the game-winning three-pointer to give No. 14 seed Georgia State an upset victory over No. 3 seed Baylor, Panthers coach Ron Hunter fell out of his chair while celebrating. It turns out the celebration came at a cost.
The elder Hunter is nursing a torn Achilles—which he tore on Sunday while celebrating Georgia State's Sun Belt title—and he said Friday that his cast cracked during his latest victory celebration.
Ron Hunter: “My doctor is on the way here. I cracked the cast on the fall. I’m getting it re-cast. She said something about a saw."— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) March 20, 2015
Georgia State is set to play No. 6 seed Xavier in the third round of the NCAA tournament.
