UNLV freshman Stephen Zimmerman will enter this year’s NBA draft, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Zimmerman is expected to formally announce his decision to declare for the draft and hire an agent early this week. Once college players hire professional representation, they forfeit the remainder of their college eligibility.
In his first season with the Runnin’ Rebels, the seven-foot-tall forward averaged 10.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Zimmerman, 19, has been considered a potential first-round pick, despite missing some time with a knee injury last season.
The NBA draft will be held on June 23 in New York.
