BYU QB Taysom Hill out for season with foot fracture
Sunday September 6th, 2015

BYU quarterback Taysom Hill is out for the season after fracturing his foot Saturday against Nebraska.

BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall announced the news in wake of the Cougars' last-second, 33-28 Hail Mary win.

Hill, a senior, suffered a Lisfranc injury during the game. He was injured in the second quarter but returned after three plays, only to leave again with 10 minutes to go after being hit on a third-down scramble. According to the game's broadcast, he'd been diagnosed with a sprained foot.

He finished with 268 passing yards and 72 rushing yards. Hill was replaced by freshman Tanner Mangum, who would go on to throw the game-winning touchdown.

Hill missed much of the 2014 season after breaking his leg and appeared in just five games. In 2013, Hill threw for 2,938 yards and 19 touchdowns and ran for 1,344 yards and 10 more scores.
