Oregon wide receiver Byron Marshall will likely miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery, reports Aaron Fentress of CSNNW.com.

Marshall, a senior, left Saturday's 62-20 loss against Utah with what looked like a right ankle injury. He sustained the injury after a kickoff return in the second half.

On Tuesday, Oregon's released depth chart did not have the senior listed. The Ducks have Bralon Addison, Dwayne Stanford and Charles Nelson starting at wide receiver.

In the first four games of the season, Marshall had nine catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Marshall has also averaged 27.5 yards per kick return this season.

STAPLES: Is Oregon's magical run over?

Last season marked Marshall's first year playing wide receiver for the Ducks after transitioning from running back. In 2014, he led Oregon with 47 receptions for 1,003 yards.

The Ducks (2-2) play at Colorado (3-1) on Saturday.
