Clint Dempsey, Lionel Messi grace cover of EA Sports FIFA '15

Perhaps not a real surprise, but U.S. soccer star Clint Dempsey and Lionel Messi of Argentina/FC Barcelona will be on the North American cover of EA Sports' FIFA 2015.

Perhaps not a real surprise, but U.S. soccer star Clint Dempsey and Lionel Messi of Argentina/FC Barcelona will be on the North American cover of EA Sports' FIFA 2015. 

The news was tweeted Saturday by the Seattle Sounders FC. Minutes later, EA Sports tweeted out basically the same thing.

The 31-year-old Dempsey talked about the honor in an interview published Saturday with Fox Soccer: 

"It’s crazy. It’s really cool. I was a fan of the game growing up, playing with my friends. Going from playing the game with my friends to being able to play with my own player in the game and now being on the cover, it’s something that’s pretty special. It’s an honor."
