The wife of a Seahawks fan who died the day after Super Bowl XLIX is jokingly accusing the team's unconventional goal-line play calling for her husband's demise.

The Spokesman-Review of Spokane caught up with Stephanie Vedik, who wrote the remembrance. She said it was just the type of joke her husband Mike would have loved.

“My husband would have thought it was hysterical,” she says. “If I had read this obituary to my husband about somebody else, he would have had a laugh.”

Vedik added that her husband had not even seen the Super Bowl yet when he suffered a heart attack, as he was not feeling well and intended to watch it on DVR later.
