Club America defeated the San Jose Earthquakes in International Champions Cup play on Tuesday night, but the real battle was between the Mexican club and the MLS team’s mascot.

The trouble began when a fan ran on the field as time expired in the 2–1 match, only to have his intrusion ended by a clothesline from Q the Earthquakes mascot.

The Club America players did not seem to care for the mascot's vigilante-style, so they came to the invader's aid. They eventually had an altercation of their own with Q, with one player shoving him in the back as he tussled with another Club America athlete.
