Professor moves midterm so student can attend Cubs’ wild-card game

​A Cubs fan asked his professor if he could have his midterm moved so he could attend the Cubs’ wild-card game with his family. His professor was totally cool about it.

The Chicago Cubs have not been to the playoffs since 2008, and have not won the World Series since 1908.

So, it’s only right that professors across America have some sympathy for any students that pull for them.

Ben Larson, a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, comes from a household filled with diehard Cubs fans. They were able to secure tickets to Wednesday’s wild-card game against the Pirates, and hoped to travel to Pittsburgh as a family. There was just one problem: Ben had a midterm scheduled for Thursday.

So, Ben asked his professor if he could take his exam on a different day.

His professor was totally cool about it.

This professor is a hero and should be an example to others who educate Cubs fans.

Hopefully Ben can take a peek at his notes between innings so he’s fresh for his exam on Friday.
