Brady Hoke is no longer the head coach at Michigan but some of his recruits are still taking the field for the Wolverines, and running back De'Veon Smith remembers his old leader fondly.

Smith recently told reporters that when Hoke was recruiting the Ohio native, he fell asleep on his couch.

It appears the recruiting tactic worked as Smith is still with Michigan, so perhaps coaches should spend more time dozing off in high school football players’ houses.

Not surprisingly, the current UM coach has a slightly more active recruiting pitch that includes babysitting for prospective players’ parents.
