The Colorado Rockies have had discussions with free-agent pitcher Ryan Vogelsong, reports Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi.

According to the report, the team is looking for right-handed starting pitching.

In 2014, Colorado had the majors' worst team ERA and gave up the most total earned runs in the league.

Vogelsong, 37, spent the last four seasons with the San Francisco Giants, going 8-13 with a 4.00 ERA in 32 starts last season. He started three games this postseason for the eventual World Series victors, posting a 6.57 ERA.

Vogelsong also spent the better part of four years pitching overseas, most notably in the Nippon Professional Baseball league, before signing with the Giants in 2011.

In nine MLB seasons, Vogelsong has a 49-57 record with a 4.42 ERA with the Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates.
