Miguel Cabrera could be ready to return to the Tigers sometime close to Opening Day. 

The Detroit Tigers slugger had right ankle surgery last October, and was expected to be out until mid-April. Now, after a recent CT scan, the team believes he could return around Opening Day:

Cabrera, who is signed through 2023 after signing an eight-year, $248 million contract extension in 2014, hit .313 last season with 25 home runs and 109 RBIs.
