The San Francisco Giants head to Citi Field to face the New York Mets in the National League wild-card game on Wednesday night.

The Giants finished the regular season with a 87–75 record to finish second in the National League West Division behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bruce Bochy will send Madison Bumgarner to the mound after posting a 15–9 record with a 2.74 ERA and 251 strikeouts this season. The Giants look to continue their streak of World Series wins on even-numbered years, having won the title in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

The Mets won the National League East Division last year before reaching the World Series. This season, the team finished 87–75 for second place in the National League East behind the Washington Nationals. Noah Syndergaard takes the hill on seven days rest. He finished the season with a 14–9 record, 2.60 ERA and 218 strikeouts.
