Amantle Montsho fails doping test after 400m at Commonwealth Games
Commonwealth Games 400 meter finalist AmantleMontsho tested positive for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine, the Commonwealth Games Federation announced.
Montsho, who is from Botswana, came in fourth in the 400 meter final after winning the gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and the world title in 2011.
Montsho is the second female athlete at the Glasgow competition to test positive for a banned drug. Nigerian Chika Amalaha was stripped of her gold medal in the 53 kilogram division (117 pounds) weightlifting competition after her A and B samples came back positive for banned substances.

Montsho’s “B” sample will be tested on Monday.
The Federation said that after it receives Montsho’s “B” sample, the Federation Court will further discuss the matter.
