Report: Wizards to land Pierce on two-year deal

Report: Heat open to bringing back Chalmers. Sun Sentinel: “And word from a party close to the process said negotiations were continuing to bring Mario Chalmers, one of several remaining Heat free agents, back into the fold, with Chalmers' salary demands to possibly determine that outcome.”
Report: Bulls expected to trade Smith to Mavs to clear cap space: ESPN: “According to the source, the Mavs are giving up "nothing" in the deal, which was first reported by Yahoo Sports. The Bulls are simply dumping a little bit of salary to help them make another move.”
Report: Mavs moving on from DeJuan Blair, likely to re-sign Bernard James. ESPN: “Smith, who will make $948,163 in 2014-15, fills the Mavs' need for a low-priced banger off the bench, the role filled by DeJuan Blair last season. The Mavs are also likely to re-sign Bernard James to a minimum-salary deal, a source said.”
Report: Knicks president Jackson willing to part with Shumpert in potential trades. Sporting News: “There are also holdovers Amare Stoudemire, Andrea Bargnani and J.R. Smith, any of whom can be had in a trade for a satchel of magic beans and a wink. Jackson is said to be willing to include Iman Shumpert in any deal that would rid him of his roster baggage.”
Report: Pacers interested in Boozer if Bulls amnesty him. New York Daily News: “Indiana is among the teams that definitely have interest in bringing in Carlos Boozer if he’s waived by the Bulls via the amnesty provision.”

Report: Bulls have discussed sign and trade with Lakers for Gasol including Dunleavy, Brewer. Chicago Tribune: “Though the Lakers would have to nimbly execute several transactions that started with Friday's agreement to trade for the Rockets' Jeremy Lin, a league source indicated the Bulls have discussed sending Mike Dunleavy and the non-guaranteed contracts of Mike James, Lou Amundsen and Ronnie Brewer to the Lakers.”
Gasol strongly considering San Antonio if Bulls, Lakers can't come to terms on deal. ESPN: “Sources told ESPN.com that Gasol is giving strong consideration to signing with defending champion San Antonio -- despite the Spurs' limited financial resources with such a deep roster -- in the event that the Bulls can't strike a sign-and-trade arrangement with the Lakers for Gasol.”
Report: Love would commit long-term to Cleveland. ESPN: “Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love is "intrigued" by the idea of being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and would commit long term to the team, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Marc Stein.”
Report: Cavs may need to find third team to facilitate Love deal without trading Wiggins. ESPN: “The Timberwolves want No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins in any deal for Love, but the Cavaliers have told the former Kansas star he will not be dealt, sources told Broussard. The Cavaliers might need to find a third team to get a Love deal done without losing Wiggins.”
Report: Rockets ramping up pursuit of Trevor Ariza
Report: Allen will join Cavs if he doesn't retire: Fox Sports Ohio: “Allen, 39, is considering retirement, but sources close to the talks said he will join the Cavs if he returns for another season. After the Heat lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, Allen told reporters he would like to play on the same team as James again.”
Report: Cavs have had "not serious" talks with Birdman; Miami determined to keep him. Fox Sports Ohio: “Andersen, 36, is also being recruited by the Heat. One source said the Heat are determined to keep Andersen away from the Cavs. The talks between the Cavs and Andersen, however, were described as "not serious at this time."

Of the remaining free agents at wing that are most intriguing, the Bulls have talked to Trevor Ariza and Shawn Marion. But Ariza is advancing on a deal in Houston.”
Report: Bulls not amnestying Boozer to keep sign-and-trade in play. Chicago Tribune: “The Bulls have until July 16 to use the amnesty provision on Carlos Boozer but are keeping that contract for now in case they are able to engage any team in a sign-and-trade transaction.”
Irving's max deal includes early termination option, trade kicker. Yahoo Sports: “The terms of Cleveland star point guard Kyrie Irving's five-year, $90 million contract will include an early termination option for the 2019-20 season and a 15 percent trade kicker, league sources told Yahoo Sports.”
