One step closer to ads on NBA jerseys
Saturday November 8th, 2014

The Westchester Knicks, the new Developmental League affiliate of the New York Knicks, will feature a sponsor on the front of home and road uniforms as part of a partnership between financial firm Chase and the Madison Square Garden Company, according to a news release.

Chase's logo will also be displayed on the team's court as part of the agreement.

The Texas Legends, the D-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, also announced new branding to their uniforms and court as part of a partnership with the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.

The team reportedly will also be training in Mexico.

Jerseys of WNBA teams already bear advertisements and NBA commissioner Adam Silver has said that he thinks ads on NBA jerseys are "inevitable."
