US Airways Center, the home of the Phoenix Suns and the Phoenix Mercury, will be renamed Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The new naming-rights deal was announced by officials Tuesday. The rights have been sold to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, which operates Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort.

“Today is truly a historical event and an exciting moment for us. This name is attached to a fantastic brand in the valley and a local brand in the community," Phoenix Suns President Jason Rowley said. "This naming rights agreement brings our partnership to a new level and will have an astral impact on the visibility of their support for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and the entire community."

US Airways was the naming partner for eight years before deciding not to renew their contract following the merger with American Airlines.
