Video: Knicks' Quincy Acy ejected for flagrant foul on Wizards' John Wall

Knicks forward Quincy Acy was ejected during the Knicks' Christmas Day loss to the Wizards for delivering a hard foul on John Wall that sparked a brief scrum.

With a little more than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and New York losing by 11, Acy mugged Wall as he approached the paint. Wall took exception to the high, hard foul, shoving Acy with both of his arms, and Acy responded again by nearly throwing a punch before restraining himself. The officials and members of both teams finally separated the two players.

The officials assessed a flagrant foul 2 to Acy, a designation that applies to contact that is deemed both "unnecessary and excessive" and which requires an automatic ejection. Acy departed with four points (on 2-for-3 shooting) and two rebounds in 12 minutes.

Wall received a technical foul for his role in the incident. He was allowed to remain in the game. Washington went on to win the matchup 102-91.
