Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott is expected to miss four to six weeks with a broken toe, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo reports.

Scott injured his toe in the Hawks' loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. On Friday, the team announced he had broken his left big toe. If Scott follows the timeline, he could be off the court until the playoffs.

The Hawks lead the Eastern Conference with a record of 51-14.

Scott has averaged 7.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game this season. Scott was selected by the Hawks in the second round of the 2013 NBA draft. The 26-year-old signed a three-year, $10 million contract extension last year.

Atlanta has reportedly signed forward Austin Daye to a 10-day contract. The Hawks play the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.
