Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson could miss seven to 10 days because of an ankle injury, coach Steve Kerr said on Tuesday.

Thompson rolled his ankle in the second half of a win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.

This will mark only the second time in Thompson's three-plus seasons in the NBA that he misses a game.

Over 64 games this season, he has averaged 21.9 points, 2.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from three-point range.

The Warriors own the best record in the Western Conference and clinched a playoff spot this week.

Golden State will face the East-leading Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
