The Los Angeles Lakers have set the deadline for fans to renew their season tickets for May 18, which is one day before the draft lottery, Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The draft lottery will determine if the Lakers get to keep their pick or lose it as part of the 2013 Steve Nash trade with the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers will lose the pick if it isn’t in the top five.

At the trade deadline, the Suns traded the rights to the pick to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Lakers currently own the fourth-worst record in the league at 20–58.

Los Angeles has only about $36 million in salary committed to next season’s roster. The Lakers will not raise ticket prices after missing the playoffs for the second straight season.

Kobe Bryant has been out of the lineup since tearing his rotator cuff in January. Rookie Julius Randle broke his right tibia in the season opener and missed the rest of the season.
