Two weeks removed from his pair of dunks on Jazz giant Rudy Gobert, Timberwolves rookie Andrew Wiggins got the best of another seven-footer. His latest victim: New Orleans’s Omer Asik, who rotated over to contest Wiggins at the rim as help defensive principles require. He was rewarded for his effort with a one-handed, cocked-back slam after meeting Wiggins in the air:
Wiggins all but levitates. After colliding with Asik, the 20-year-old Wiggins maintains balance, bumps his opponent out of the way and swings the ball down with power. With the success he’s had in finishing over rim protectors this season, he is not one to be deterred.
