New York Knicks fire head coach Derek Fisher
Monday February 8th, 2016

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes did not comment on Derek Fisher’s firing as head coach of the New York Knicks but shared an Instagram post without a caption on Monday.

Earlier in the season, Barnes was fined $35,000 for his comments before a game against the Knicks when he said “violence is never the answer, but sometimes it is.” The comment was in reference to his off-season incident with Fisher, in which Barnes reportedly punched Fisher in the face.

Barnes was suspended two games for the original incident earlier this season.

Fisher was fired on Monday after the Knicks lost nine of their last 10 games and dropped to 23–31 on the year.
