Rockets owner Les Alexander donates $500,000 to Houston flood victims
Houston Rockets owner Les Alexander is donating $500,000 to victims of the recent flooding in Houston, Texas, according to Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle.
At least eight people have died and 1,150 homes have been damaged due to the flooding caused by torrential downpour in the Houston area over the last few days.
Some areas saw a record-setting 18 inches of rain on Monday.
A flash flood watch was in effect for parts of southeast Texas with a chance of rain in the forecast for Thursday as well.
