Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert was pulled over and arrested for suspicion of DUI last month in Atlanta, the team announced Friday.
Shumpert was pulled over for a lane violation on Aug. 10 before being booked. TMZ reports officers found a mason jar containing marijuana inside the car, and that the officers determined he was high after failing a field sobriety test.
Traditionally, the league has handed down suspensions of three games for DUIs.
The Cavaliers said they have discussed the issue with Shumpert, and a court date has not been set.
