Heat's LeBron James drags utility vehicle during offseason workout

LeBron James recently promised to come back for the 2013-14 season as a "new, improved, better" version of himself. Now we know that the Heat forward is making that goal a reality by undertaking an offseason regimen that involves dragging a utility vehicle by its front bumper.

James -- winner of back-to-back titles, MVP awards and Finals MVP awards -- uploaded a video of one of his notoriously intense summer workouts on Saturday. In addition to doing some step-over footwork drills in a grassy field, James pulls on what appears to be a John Deere Gator while walking in reverse. He might as well submit this to the World's Strongest Man competition as an audition tape.

“I don’t want to be the same player I was this past season," James told a crowd in the Philippines earlier this summer. "I want to come in this season a new, improved, better LeBron James. We’ll see what happens once the fall comes around, but I will be a better player.”

James, 28, averaged 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists last season while shooting a career-high 56.5 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from deep. His PER of 31.6 led the NBA for the sixth straight season.

Here's a look at a Gator from John Deere's website in case you're interested.
