Well, that didn’t take long. Just two games into the season Minnesota Vikings fans are already clamoring for Teddy Bridgewater over current starter Matt Cassel.

Bridgewater, of course, is the team’s future at quarterback. But the Vikings coaching staff ultimately decided that the first-round pick and former Louisville star wasn’t quite ready to be named the starter, which is why Cassel is currently running with the first team.

It will be interesting to see how long it lasts though, because Cassel was awful against the Patriots, with four interceptions.

While Cassel started off his day with a touchdown pass, his first interception came soon after, as he was picked off on the Vikings’ second possession of the game. Targeting Jarius Wright down the field, Cassel’s pass was picked by Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty.

The second came soon after. Just two minutes into the second quarter, Cassel lofted a pass that appeared to be intended for Darrelle Revis and not Greg Jennings. Revis snagged the pass with ease.

Cassel’s third pick of the day didn’t occur until after halftime. But when he eyed Cordarrelle Patterson deep down the middle of the field, another Patriots defender was able to come down with the ball. That one also riled up the Minnesota fan base enough that shouts for Bridgewater broke out, and he finished out the day with a fourth pick later in the second half. It should be noted that Cassel probably had no idea that he’d have to spend the majority of his day throwing the football instead of handing it off to Adrian Peterson

But given how poorly he’s played, it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes for the chants of Bridgewater to translate into some actual playing time behind center for the rookie.
