Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson said Tuesday night that he "definitely expects to play" against the Dolphins in Week 10, according to Lions reporter Tori Petry.

The Lions have a bye in Week 9. Johnson has not played since Week 5 because of a sprained right ankle. He originally sprained his ankle on Sept. 21, but played on it for the next two games before re-aggravating it.

Johnson made the trip to London with Detroit for its Week 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons and practiced for the first time in three weeks in the days leading up to it, but was later declared inactive.

"You can go out there and tweak it again and then you're almost back where you were. Or you could try to rest it and let that thing get all the way right," Johnson said last week

Johnson has 348 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns on the season.

The Lions (6-2) host the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 9.
