The Oakland Raiders are slated to interview San Francisco 49ers tight end coach Eric Mangini for their vacant head-coaching position, according to a report by Mike Garofolo of Fox Sports.

Mangini, 43, has been with the 49ers the past two seasons and was the team’s offensive consultant in 2013.

Prior to working for San Francisco, Mangini was the head coach of the New York Jets for three seasons (2006-2008) and the Cleveland Browns during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He has a career record of 33-47 as an NFL head coach.

The Raiders are seeking to replace Dennis Allen, who was fired in September. Assistant Tony Sparano took over on an interim basis for the rest of the season. Oakland went 3-9 in its 12 games with him as coach.

Oakland has not been to the playoffs since losing Super Bowl XXXVII to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the end of the 2002 season.
