Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter was arrested Monday afternoon in Virginia Beach in relation to a bar fight, records from the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s office show. He was charged with felony assault and is being held without bond.

The charges listed the Sheriff’s office include “stabbing, cutting [or] wounding” but police told Ian Rapoportof the NFL Network that Hunter’s “weapon” was his fists and the alleged victim was hospitalized with apparent broken bones.

Police said the incident occurred at a Virginia Beach bar on July 3 and one person was taken to a hospital, according to WTKR. Police did not initially describe the extent of the person’s injuries.

Hunter, 24, is a Virginia Beach native. He played 12 games for the Titans last season, including eight starts, and caught 28 passes for 498 yards and three touchdowns.

In Virginia, felonious assault with malicious intent is punishable by five to 20 years in prison.

“We are aware of the situation and are continuing to gather more facts,” the Titans said in a statement.
