The Dallas Cowboys will trade a conditional draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for running back Christine Michael, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Michael has played in 14 games in two seasons, running 52 times for 254 yards. Seattle drafted Michael in the second round of the 2013 draft. NFL Network's Albert Breer reports the Seahawks will receive a conditional seventh-round pick for Michael.

The top three backs on the Dallas depth chart are Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar. Randle and McFadden are expected to handle most of the carries.

The Cowboys, however, have been still been looking for help at the position after the loss of last season's league-leading rusher DeMarco Murray in free agency.

Randle and Dunbar have never been a team's featured back. McFadden played 16 games last season for the first time in his career, but hasn't averaged more than 3.4 yards per carry in each of the last three years.

Dallas opens the upcoming season on Sept. 13 against the New York Giants.
