Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry and running back LaMike James apologized to teammates Thursday after a physical confrontation Wednesday, reports Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.

According to Jackson, Landry was joking around with James during a special teams meeting. James, ”who appeared to be in a bad mood,” was rubbed the wrong way and lashed out physically, according to the report.

Jackson reports there was pushing and shoving before teammates broke up the altercation. Landry later apologized to James, and both apologized to the whole team the next day.

Landry led the Dolphins in receiving last season. He and James were competing for Miami's kick and punt return jobs during preseason.
