Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay expects quarterback Andrew Luck to be ready to play by Week 15 against the Houston Texans or Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Luck has only played seven games this season while dealing with shoulder injuries and a lacerated kidney. He missed two games earlier in the season with the shoulder injury and has not played since leading the Colts to a 27–24 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 9.

The Colts have ruled out Luck for the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and is not expected to return next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars

Indianapolis has played well in Luck’s absence, winning all four of its games with veteran Matt Hasselbeck as the starter.

Luck is 2–5 as a starter this season and has struggled to find consistent play. The fourth-year quarterback has completed 55.3 percent of his passes with 1881 yards, 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Indianapolis (6–5) is tied with the Houston Texans (6–5) for first in the AFC South.
