With much of the Patriots receiving corps hurt, Tom Brady decided to take matters into his own hands.

The New England Patriots quarterback caught a 36-yard pass from Danny Amendola on Sunday. The Patriots were playing without Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski and Dion Lewis, three of the team’s best receiving threats.

Brady made his case for receiver by catching a short toss from Amendola and running down the right sideline for a big play. Brady quickly hopped out of bounds as defenders approached, but only after running for nearly 30 yards.

After the catch, Brady moved back to quarterback, where he actually had less success. Brady threw an interception later in the drive.
