Bills running back Karlos Williams has been suspended for the first four games of the upcoming after violating the league’s substance abuse policy, the team announced Friday

Williams recorded 517 rushing yards on 93 carries last season and was tied for the team lead with nine total touchdowns. Veteran LeSean McCoy was the team’s leading rusher and received roughly twice as many carries as Williams. 

Bills rookie running back Jonathan Williams was arrested Thursday on suspicion of drunk driving. 

Karlos Williams will miss games against the Ravens, Jets, Cardinals and Patriots. He will be eligible to return Week 5 against the Rams.
