Falcons rookie safety Keanu Neal will miss three to four weeks with a knee injury, the team announced Friday.

Neal was injured during the first quarter of Thursday’s preseason game against the Dolphins. Atlanta called the injury “minor,” and Neal will have a scoping procedure done on Monday. He is on track for an early-season return.

Neal, 21, was the 17th overall pick in this year’s draft out of Florida. He is listed atop the team’s depth chart at safety.

The Falcons list Robenson Therezie and Kemal Ishmael as their primary backup safeties.
