Nazem Kadri smoothly sailed around four Philadelphia Flyers players minutes into the third period to set up the Toronto Maple Leafs’ third goal on Saturday night.
Kadri picked up the puck on the Leafs’ end of the ice and first maneuvered his way around Chris VandeVelde. Nick Cousins was no match for Kadri either as he weaved his way past the Flyers’ centerman.
Radko Gudas dropped to block Kadri, who instead moved around Gudas and positioned himself to slide-pass the puck by defenseman Nick Schultz to a waiting Peter Holland. Holland controlled the puck and quickly buried it in the net past Steve Mason with a snap shot.
The Flyers, though, went on to beat the Leafs 5–4 in overtime on a winner by Shayne Gostisbehere. Philadelphia improved to 26–21–11, while Toronto fell to 20–27–10.
