A preseason game between Maccabi Haifa and Lille in Austria was stopped, and eventually ended, in the 85th minute after "pro-Palestinian protesters" stormed the pitch and confronted players, Allon Sinai of The Jerusalem Post reports.

Israel is currently engaged in hostilities with Hamas, a militant group that runs the Gaza Strip. Time.com has further coverage of the conflict, which began July 8.

On July 16, UEFA announced that Israeli clubs could not host European matches due to the "unrest" in Israel.
