Star striker Cristiano Ronaldo will join the Real Madrid roster for the upcoming International Champions Cup in the United States, the club announced Thursday.

Ronaldo injured his left knee during the World Cup and was not listed on the 20-man roster released last week. He is the reigning Ballon d'Or winner as the world's best player.

The ICC is a friendly tournament that will be contested in stadiums throughout the US.
