The latest 2015 MLS Cup odds from LVSuperBook.com favor the defending champion LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders and New England Revolution.
The Galaxy draw the top odds at 3/1, followed by the Sounders at 9/2 and Revolution at 8/1. D.C. United is fourth at 9/1 followed by Real Salt Lake at 12/1.
The Galaxy won the 2014 MLS Cup, their fifth in team history, after a 2-1 win over the Revolution. The Sounders won the Supporters' Shield after posting the best regular-season record at 20-10-4 (64 points).
Major League Soccer's playoff format will change for the 2015 season, allowing an additional two teams to compete for the MLS Cup, bringing the total to 12. The new Cup format will increase the number of knockout-round matches from two to four. The third-place team in each conference will host the sixth seed in a single-elimination game, while the fourth and fifth-seeded teams will meet in the other. The four teams to reach the conference semifinals will then be re-seeded to pit highest remaining seed against the lowest.
The conference semifinals and finals will remain two-game series, and the MLS Cup final is still a single match.
MLS is also growing from 19 to 20 clubs, as the additions of Orlando City and New York City FC will compensate for the departure of Chivas USA.
