Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal answered just three questions before storming out of a press conference that lasted four minutes and 58 seconds on Wednesday.

Van Gaal, 64, appeared displeased with a question about his future with the club amid rumors that he could be sacked.

He closed his press conference by wishing reporters a happy holiday.

“I wish you a merry Christmas and also maybe a happy new year when I see you,” van Gaal said. “Enjoy the wine and a mince pie. Goodbye.”

The club sits in fifth in the Premier League table and is tied with fourth-placed Tottenham at 29 points. Manchester United sits nine points behind Leicester City at the top.

What’s next for Guardiola after Bayern Munich exit?

After being sacked by Chelsea last week, Jose Mourinho’s name has come up in conversation to replace van Gaal.

Manchester United will play Stoke City at Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
