The United States will meet Paraguay in its final group stage match of the 2016 Copa America Centenario on Saturday.
The match, which will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, will determine whether the U.S. men’s national team will advance to the knockout stage or suffer an early exit at the tournament.
After beating Costa Rica 4–0 earlier this week, the United States is in good position to advance to the knockout stage. Despite falling to Colombia 2–0 last Friday, the U.S. can actually win Group A if it beats Paraguay and Colombia loses to Costa Rica.
The more likely scenario is that the U.S. finishes second in Group A. The U.S. will finish second in the group if it beats Paraguay.
Jurgen Klinsmann’s side can also finish in second with a draw as long as Costa Rica doesn't beat Colombia by at least six goals.
