Manchester United will host Manchester City on Wednesday in the round of 16 in the League Cup.

Since a promising start to the season, Jose Mourinho's side has struggled in recent weeks. United is coming off a 4–0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this past Sunday. The club has sunk to seventh in the Premier League table with 14 points.

Manchester City's play has also declined in recent weeks, but the team is still on top of the Premier League with 20 points. Pep Guardiola's side drew with Southampton over the weekend 1–1.

In the only Manchester Derby so far this season, Manchester City earned a 2–1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
