The Houston Texans' contract extension with Arian Foster is worth $43.5 million over five-years, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It was reported earlier today that the team had inked Foster to a five-year deal with the club, however the financial details were not known. The deal is significantly smaller than the seven-year, $100 million contract extension running back Adrian Peterson received in 2011.

In 2011, Foster ran for 1,224 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games for the Texans. The year prior, he led all NFL rushers with 1616 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground. The Texans initially signed Foster as an undrafted free-agent out of Tennessee.
