The Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers agreed to a deal sending Tigers first baseman Prince Fielder and cash considerations to Texas for second baseman Ian Kinsler, the Tigers announced Wednesday night.

The trade would be complete pending physicals for both players and Fielder's approval, since he has a limited no-trade clause in his contract, according to the CBSSports.com.

Fielder, 29, has spent the past two seasons with the Tigers and hit .279 with 25 home runs and 106 RBI last season.

Fielder signed a nine-year deal worth $214 million with the Tigers before the 2012 season.

Fielder is owed $168 million over the next seven seasons. Kinsler has four years and $62 million left on his contract, which the Tigers will now assume. Detroit will reportedly send $30 million to Texas in the deal.

Kinsler had spent his entire eight-year career with the Rangers. He batted .277 last season, hit 13 home runs and drove in 72 runs.
